Rules Of Baccarat

Whether you are playing online at www.casinosonline-canada.ca or in a casino on the vegas strip, the rules of Baccarat remain the same. All cards from two to nine have their traditional face value. A King, Queen, Jack and a ten have a value of zero. An ace has a value of 1. The aim or objective of Baccarat is to get as close as possible to nine points on either hand (the banker or the player’s hand.)

For instance, a ten and an eight together is called a natural eight, and is considered the second strongest hand in Baccarat. A ten and a nine is called a natural nine, and is the strongest hand in Baccarat best online casinos. There are three possible bets for the player to wager on, namely:

  • The banker
  • The player
  • The tie bet

The player has a choice of where they want to bet. The player can then make a wager on either the banker’s hand, the player’s hand or the tie.  The player hand and the banker hand are both available to bet on.

After this, four cards are drawn, two for the player and two for the banker. The cards are then revealed and whoever gets closer to nine points wins the round. If the banker gets closer to nine points and the player betted on the banker, the player has made a successful wager and wins the round. However, if the banker gets closer to nine points, and the player betted on his own hand, the dealer wins the round. The player can also bet on a tie between the two hands.
